This summer, four powerful blog cafés took place in Chernihiv as part of the “Together We Can” programme. Participants explored topics such as fake news, podcasting, UN resolutions, and youth engagement — while learning how to create, analyze, discuss, and act.
May 8 – Chernihiv
Topic: Media Literacy in the Digital Age: How Not to Fall for Fakes
Trainer: Yuliia Peretiatko
Participants learned to detect disinformation, analyzed distorted realities on social media, worked with real cases, and practiced identifying manipulative narratives.
May 26 – Chernihiv
Topic: The Art of Podcasting and Vlogging: How to Find Your Style and Win Over Audiences
Trainer: Yuliia Peretiatko
The session focused on media trends, using AI tools for content creation, and producing short videos on civic activism in the digital environment.
June 5 – Chernihiv
Topic: Implementing UN Security Council Resolutions 1325 and 2250: The Role of Youth and Women in Peacebuilding
Trainer: Alla Nitchenko
Participants explored how women and young people can engage in local peacebuilding, build dialogue, and become agents of change in their communities.
June 17 – Chernihiv
Topic: Engaging Youth in Civic Life
Trainer: Nikita Strelok
The group explored why youth often feel disengaged, how to overcome barriers, and developed practical ideas for encouraging active youth participation in community life.
All of these meetings were united by one thing: belief in the power of community, dialogue, and the ability to speak about things that matter.
We sincerely thank all trainers, participants, and partners for their openness, practical insight, and inspiration.
The project is implemented by the NGO Human Rights Foundation as part of the “Together We Can” programme with the support of IFA and the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.
