During the spring and autumn of 2025, ten blog cafés took place in Cherkasy as part of the “Together We Can” programme. These events became a platform for discussing essential topics — from media literacy and emotional resilience to inclusive dialogue and civic participation.
April 30 – Cherkasy
Topic: How Media Repeat — and Why We Keep Consuming It
Moderator: A. Mishchenko
Participants explored how repeated messages shape perception, why familiar narratives spread so easily, and how to stay critical in an overwhelming information environment.
May 14 – Cherkasy
Topic: Methods for Detecting AI-Generated Disinformation
Moderator: A. Mishchenko
The session focused on tools for identifying AI-generated fakes and techniques for verifying information to avoid manipulation.
August 29 – Cherkasy
Topic: Art as a Tool for Dialogue
Ambassador: Andrii Tyshchenko
Through creativity and artistic practices, participants explored how dialogue emerges from shared creation and mutual understanding.
September 11 – Cherkasy
Topic: Do Something Good!
Moderator: A. Mishchenko
A playful, team-based session where participants designed social initiatives to improve their community — and presented them to each other.

Topic: Emotional Self-Control in the Media Environment
Ambassador: Denys Tsiura
The event focused on emotions, triggers, and critical thinking — how not to fall for manipulation and how to recognize one’s own reactions within the media flow.

Topic: Civic Participation: Tools of Influence + Simulation Game
Organizers / Moderation: Student Council of ChDTU
Participants learned about key tools of civic influence, worked with real-life cases, and took part in an interactive simulation of local decision-making.
October 3 – Cherkasy
Topic: Inclusive Dialogue
Ambassador: Andrii Tyshchenko
A conversation about trust, communication, and creating spaces of equality. Participants explored how inclusion begins with empathy and mutual respect.
October 9 – Cherkasy
Topic: Civic Participation: Petitions as a Tool for Change
Organizers / Moderation: Student Council of ChDTU
Participants learned how petitions work, which topics are suitable for this tool, and developed their own petition concepts.
October 23 – Cherkasy
Topic: Detecting Disinformation in Text: How Not to Fall for Manipulation
Moderator: A. Mishchenko
The group discussed manipulation techniques and fact-checking methods, analyzed texts, and explored the role of AI in producing disinformation.
October 30 – Cherkasy
Topic: Speedrun in Effective Communication and Public Speaking
Moderator: A. Mishchenko
An interactive training game focused on confidence, improvisation, and active listening skills.
The blog café series in Cherkasy demonstrated that the strength of a community lies in openness, empathy, and the ability to act together.
